Human Shift exists to contribute to better conversations about leadership, AI and the future of organisations. We encourage people to read, share and discuss the ideas published here. We also invest significant time developing original thinking, frameworks and intellectual property. This page explains how that work may be used.

Ownership

Unless otherwise stated, all content published on this website is owned by Human Shift. This includes, but is not limited to: written articles and publications; frameworks and methodologies; models, diagrams and visualisations; presentations and keynote material; workshops and learning resources; graphics, branding and design elements; and videos and other multimedia content; downloadable resources, templates and guides.

Human-Centric AI Framework

The Human-Centric AI framework, Human Shift methodology, Human Shift Advisory approach and associated models are original works developed by Jo Grubb and Human Shift. These works continue to evolve through ongoing research, writing and practical application. Unless expressly stated otherwise, publication of these ideas does not transfer ownership or grant permission to reproduce, commercialise or create derivative works based upon them.

What You May Do

You are welcome to: read and learn from our content; share links to articles and resources; reference Human Shift ideas in conversations, presentations or academic work with appropriate attribution; and quote short extracts, provided they are accurately reproduced and clearly attributed to Human Shift. We believe ideas are strengthened through discussion and thoughtful application.

What You May Not Do

Without prior written permission, you may not:

  • copy or reproduce substantial portions of our content

  • republish articles or downloadable resources

  • reproduce our frameworks, models or diagrams in full

  • adapt, modify or create derivative works based on our intellectual property

  • remove copyright notices or attribution

  • use Human Shift intellectual property in commercial consulting, training or education

  • sell, license or distribute our materials

  • present Human Shift ideas or frameworks as your own work.

Framework Development

Some Human Shift frameworks are described as "framework in development" or "living documents." This reflects our commitment to continually testing, refining and improving the work as new evidence and practical experience emerge. These works remain protected intellectual property throughout their development.

Speaking and Teaching

If you would like to use Human Shift material within: conferences; universities; professional associations; internal organisational learning; and/or research publications, please contact us first. In many cases we are happy to grant permission with appropriate acknowledgement.

Commercial Use

Commercial use of Human Shift intellectual property requires prior written permission. This includes use within:

  • consulting engagements

  • paid training

  • workshops

  • coaching programmes

  • online courses

  • publications

  • software or digital products

  • AI models or knowledge bases developed for commercial purposes.

Trade Marks and Brand

Human Shift and Human Shift Advisory are business names associated with Jo Grubb. Any registered trade marks, logos and brand assets may not be used without written permission. Nothing on this website grants permission to use our branding in a way that suggests endorsement, partnership or affiliation.

AI and Automated Use

Our content may not be systematically copied, scraped or reproduced for the purpose of training commercial AI systems, knowledge repositories or automated content generation tools without prior written permission. Occasional quotation for research, commentary or legitimate academic use remains permitted where appropriate attribution is provided.
